ChatGPT App Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Coin Flip ChatGPT app and MCP tool at coin.urm8.org/mcp handle data. The separate website privacy policy is available at privacy.html.
The ChatGPT app is a minimal binary decision tool. It does not require an account with Coin Flip, payment, raw location access, contact list access, or access to your full ChatGPT conversation history.
Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum data needed to perform the coin flip:
- Optional question text: If you provide a yes/no decision prompt, the app uses that text to label the result.
- Tool input settings: The app may receive whether you requested a short deterministic rationale for the result.
- Coin flip result data: The app generates a random coin side, maps heads to YES and tails to NO, and returns only the data needed to render the result widget.
- Basic technical request data: Hosting infrastructure may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, and error logs to operate and secure the service.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not ask for your name, email address, or Coin Flip account.
- We do not request raw location data such as city or coordinates.
- We do not pull, reconstruct, or infer your full ChatGPT chat log.
- We do not collect payment card data, protected health information, government identifiers, passwords, API keys, MFA codes, or other authentication secrets.
- We do not intentionally collect sensitive or special-category personal data. Do not enter sensitive personal information into the optional question field.
How We Use Data
- To generate and display a heads/tails or yes/no coin flip result.
- To show your optional question and optional deterministic rationale alongside the result.
- To operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the availability of the MCP service.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce service integrity when required.
Recipients
Data may be processed by the systems needed to run the app, including:
- OpenAI, when you use the app through ChatGPT.
- Hosting, network, container registry, and infrastructure providers used to serve coin.urm8.org.
- Security, operational, or legal recipients if necessary to protect the service or comply with law.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
Coin flip prompts and results are used to respond to the current tool request. The app does not create user accounts or maintain a user history. Standard server logs, if retained by infrastructure providers, are kept only as needed for operations, security, debugging, and legal compliance.
User Controls
- You may use the app without entering a question.
- You may avoid sharing personal or sensitive information in the optional question field.
- You may disconnect or uninstall the ChatGPT app through ChatGPT's app controls.
- You may request review or deletion of data where applicable by contacting the app operator through the app listing or the website domain contact channel.
Children
The app is a general utility and is not directed to children. Do not use the app to submit children's personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last updated.
